The geometrical pattern on the yellow ground at the stepped rim and wavy gilded edge.?Floral designs on the underside - one in every cardinal direction. The wavy pattern in green at the foot. American writer and missioner. E.H. Clayton and his wife were missionaries of the American Baptist Foreign Mission Society in charge of Wayland Academy, a missionary school in Hangzhou, China from 1912 to 1942. E.H. Clayton wrote a book Heaven Below based on his living experience in China.
