Description A Chinese enamel on copper snuff bottle dating from the 18th to the 19th century. The bottle depicts a sage seated at a table with 2 attendants, the stopper features a butterfly and flowers. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 1 3/4 inches wide; 7.6 cm tall X 4.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report There are several areas of cracking and possible repair.
Provenance From the estate of Dr. F. Prussing in Long Beach, California. These items were acquired by Dr. Prussing before 1980. Most of these snuff bottles were meticulously evaluated and cataloged by Dr. Prussing in the 1970s.
