Description A Chinese black lacquer snuff bottle inlaid with mother-of-pearl quatrefoils dating from the 18th to the 19th century. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide; 6.4 cm tall X 3.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report A few small chips in the lacquer of the neck, overall good condition.
Provenance From the estate of Dr. F. Prussing in Long Beach, California. These items were acquired by Dr. Prussing before 1980. Most of these snuff bottles were meticulously evaluated and cataloged by Dr. Prussing in the 1970s.
