Description A pair of coral-ground famille rose bowls with 6-character marks on the bottom and dating from the Republic period. The bowls feature children playing on the interior and exterior. Dimensions are: 3 1/4 inches tall X 5 1/4 inches wide; 8.3 cm X 13.3 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Minor wear to the glaze, especially around the rim.
Provenance From the estate of Albert T. Quon in Beverly Hills, California. Mr. Quon was the first Asian-American admitted to the Los Angeles Rotary Club and the first Asian-American to serve on the board of the Los Angeles Chamber of Commerce.
