Description A set of 2 Chinese carved agate snuff bottles dating from the 19th century. The set contains: a snuff bottle with a pink glass stopper whose body is carved with a dragonfly and butterflies; and a snuff bottle with no stopper carved with 2 goldfish with lotus leaves. Dimensions are: 2 1/2 inches tall X 1 1/4 inches wide, 6.4 cm tall X 3.2 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Both are in good condition.
Provenance From Mrs. Fullerton in New Jersey. Her father, Maurice Etangs was chief of police in Tianjin, China and lived there from 1935 to 1945. These items were collected during those times.
