Local Historian and Old Bedford Modernian Les Poole's Collection of Ephemera relating to Pavenham Village and Bedford Town. From his home at 'The Smithy', High Street, Pavenham, he published editions of 'Bedford Before I Forget' comprising 125 pages of revelation featuring over 120 pictures & cartoons about Bedford and its schools, citizens and much on his old school BMS and its Masters. He also wrote poems such as 'Wind on the Ouse,' articles on William Harpur & 'How to Trace the History of a House in Bedfordshire. In addition he contributed to two other publications - Ruth Marchant's 'Pavenham, The Life Story of a Village', 1993 & C.D. Linnell's 'Pavenham and Its Churches' 1929. This extensive archive contains published copies & manuscripts of the titles referred together with other related items - a rich source of material for local historians.
