LARGE ARCHAIC COVERED VASE OF NEPHRITE JADE
PALE, FANGHU

Majestic, vertical and monolithic, it stands on a rocky base. It rests on a short foot with bevelled edges. The belly, of quadrangular section, also with bevelled edges. The neck, curved, is provided with two handles with windings. A campaniform lid topped by a stepped fritel crowns the whole. Branches of magnolias emanating from the rocks spread out from the vase. A highly decorative vase offered for sale with a wooden base that facilitates its display (natural veins and inclusions).
