A Chinese yellow ground sancai square bowl dating from the 19th century. The bowl features dragon handles and the sides depict 2 dragons chasing flaming pearls among ruyi clouds with a wave and rock motif at the base. Dimensions: 3 1/4 inches tall X 7 1/4 inches wide, 8.3 cm tall X 18.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report The cup is in overall good condition though 1 dragon handle's tongue is chipped.
Provenance From Mr. Loh in Los Angeles, California; a family heirloom. This collection was acquired in Singapore by Mr. Loh's family over 65 years ago. It was shipped to the US following the death of Mr. Loh's mother.
