A pair of Chinese wucai high stem cups possibly dating from the Kangxi period. The interiors of each cup feature a 6-character Kangxi mark with 2 dragons holding lingzhi with Shou medallions. The exteriors feature a floral and butterfly motif on green ground with 2 rectangular frames of flowers and birds and 2 pomegranate frames of landscapes. The feet feature a band of lotus and banana leaves. Dimensions: 4 inches tall X 5 1/4 inches wide; 10.2 cm tall X 13.3 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition Report Both are in good condition.
Provenance From Mr. Loh in Los Angeles, California; a family heirloom. This collection was acquired in Singapore by Mr. Loh's family over 65 years ago. It was shipped to the US following the death of Mr. Loh's mother.
