A pair of Meissen figural candelabra, mid 18th century
Each modelled with a seated figure, one with Minerva and one with Mars, both wearing armour and flanked by a flower shaped stand on each side, Minerva with matching ink pot and caster, behind them large sprouting intertwining branches ending in five foliate sconces and applied with various flowers, the middle branch moulded with gilt-edged rocailles, the base moulded with gilt-edged scrollwork and applied with leaves, 31.5cm high, one incised 46.
