United States,Early 20th Century
Large and finely cast sculpture of a mother and child seated together on the floor. The sculpture is unsigned but certainly done by the hand of a modern master. The work exhibits influence from numerous artists of the late 19th and early 20th century including Edgar Degas (1834-1917), Aristide Mailol (1861-1944), Amedeo Modigliani (1884-1920), and Alberto Giacometti (1901-1966) among others. Unknown artist but certainly a spectacular piece.
