. A bowl of conical form with a slightly flared rim. The outer surface coated in a brown glaze save for the flat base that remains unglazed and has the faint remains of a Chinese character in fired-on black pigment. The inner surface coated in a finely-crackled clear glaze. Diameter 11.5cm (4.5 inches). No repair or restoration. Song Dynasty (AD 960 – 1279) or later.
