William IV or early Victorian mahogany-cased eight-day painted dial longcase clock, Henry Pottle, Winchester, (fl.1830-67), the twelve-inch circular Roman dial signed 'Hen'y Pottle Winchester', with subsidiary seconds dial beneath XII, with five-pillar movement, the case with foliate scroll-carved hood and ebony line inlay over figured break-arched trunk door, panelled base and wavy apron, 206cm high Condition: Dial has minor staining and some crazing including visible impacts to front from dial feet pressing to reverse. Movement appears sound but is untested and sold as seen. Case has some minor losses to pierced circular sound frets to sides of hood. One side panel of trunk has a circular disc adornment. Otherwise sound.
