Mid 19th Century satin walnut library clock, with later Roman dial and bezel, unmarked gut-driven single fusee movement with anchor escapement, the case with bevelled glazed roof and sides on bulging base and plinth, 24.5cm high Condition: Dial and bezel are replacements as catalogued, movement appears to have only ever been single fusee. Back plate is unsigned, missing locking nut/transit screw for pendulem holdfast. Some wear to one corner upright of case indicating a previous movement has probably been fitted. Case is in generally nice order (dial and bezel apart), except for cracking and veneer losses to rear door. Sold as seen.
