A Chinese jadeite bi disc dating from the 19th century. The bi disc features a grain pattern on one side and a ruyi motif on the other. It is accompanied by a wooden stand. Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 1/4 inches wide, 5.1 cm tall X 1.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Very minor edge chips with natural seams and inclusions in the jade. Provenance: From Mrs. Fullerton in New Jersey. Her father, Maurice Etangs was chief of police in Tianjin, China and lived there from 1935 to 1945. These items were collected during those times.
