A pair of Chinese porcelain stools dating to the 19th century. The top is glazed blue and white and features lotus tracery and a lucky coin cut out. The body is famille rose on a lime green and turquoise ground featuring pairs of lucky coin cut outs. The front depicts a pair of pheasants among flowering branches while the back depicts a scene of vases and scholars' items. Dimensions are: 18 1/2 in. tall X 16 in. wide; 47 cm tall X 40.6 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Abrasions to the top of each, crack to the body of one and significant glaze pops to the other. Provenance: From a private California collection.
