A Chinese famille rose porcelain cup dating from the Republic period. There is a 6-character mark on the bottom. The cup features a scene of a young boy, a rooster, hen, and 4 chicks. It is inscribed with a poem and 2 seals. Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 3 1/8 inches wide, 7 cm tall X 7.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: It is in good condition. Provenance: From Mr. Chun in Northern California. These items were from Mr. Chun's grandfather, who was the owner of Chang Mao Yang Hang bank in Shanghai during the British concession in the early 1900s.
