A small Chinese water coupe possibly by Yu Wenxiang and dating from the Republic period. The coupe, which has an inscription and 1 seal, depicts fisherman in a snowy landscape. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 2 1/2 inches wide, 7.6 cm tall X 6.4 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is a star crack to the interior and a hairline crack in the rim. Provenance: From the estate of Chen Bai Cun. Chen Baicun (1894-1967), graduated from Baoding Military Academy and rose to prominence as the Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army and the former Chief of Staff of Chen Cheng.
