A set of two Japanese silver teapots from the Meiji period. Both teapots are decorated with jadeite finials and grooved bodies. Both have a 3-character mark on the bottom, while the larger teapot has an additional 2 character mark. Dimensions are: Larger teapot is 5 inches tall X 5 1/2 inches wide, 12.7 cm tall X 14 cm wide. All measurements are approximate. Condition: Larger teapot is missing its handle, otherwise both are in good condition. Provenance: From Mr. Chun in Northern California. These items were from Mr. Chun's grandfather, who was the owner of Chang Mao Yang Hang bank in Shanghai during the British concession in the early 1900s.
