It was a solo exhibition of Alexander Calder's sculpture at the New Gallery at MIT Kirk's senior year that catapulted his artistic career. His kinetic sculptures are in numerous public and private collections including the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art, Albright-Knox Gallery, Buffalo, New York, and the Storm King Art Center, Cornwall, New York.
