A pair of sterling silver covered entree dishes, retailer's mark of Theodore B. Starr, New York, maker's mark of The Gorham Mfg. Co., defaced with Gorham's code KLN indicating special order work, in Gorham's "Baronial, Old" pattern, introduced circa 1898, of oval form, fully chased with blossoms, scrolling acanthus leaves, fruit, strap-work and lions' masks enclosing a vacant cartouche on either side, the rim applied with a border of scrolling acanthus leaves and lions' masks, the covers chased with strap-work and acanthus leaves, and applied with an egg and dart border, centering a multi-form acanthus leaf finial; length is 10 3/4 inches, weight of the pair is 101.20 troy ounces.
