IN VASE AND DISH, QING DYNASTY 1644-1912, comprising a large famille verte dish?with flower lattice board with auspicious symbols in reserves surrounding the figure of a lady gazing at herself in a vanity hand mirror, foot with an underglaze Kangxi style six-character mark with double ring encircling, diameter: 14 3/4"; and a wood lidded ginger jar, the wide neck painted with orange lotus blossoms above shoulders painted with lattice and auspicious objects over a turquoise band issuing a ground of scrolling colorful peony blooms and tendrils, four arabesque reserves show scenes of a scholar at leisure painting,?making music, playing a board game, and listening to poetry, the tapered foot with lingzhi mushrooms and a mountain and sky motif border, verso the foot with underglaze blue double rings, height: 18" diameter: 7 1/2".
