Description Black Stone with traces of Pujas North India , 11th to 12th century Dimensions: Height 76 cm Wide 34 cm Depth 18 cm Weight: aprox. 60 Kg Ganesha seated in royal ease pose on a throne supported by a meditating disciple and an animal possibly a boar. Ganesha has four arms holding a mace, a broken tusk, a rosary and a bowl of laddu balls. The sacred thread is wrapped around his round belly and he has a gentle face with small eyes and wears a conical headdress. He is framed by a fiery aureole and two dancing apsaras in the corners. The head of a fierce makara is at the centre of the top.
