A pair of painted lacquered wood 'floral brocade' cabinets
Tibet, 19th centuryEach with eight inset square panels to the front forming two pairs of central doors, decorated overall with trailed raised decoration in polychrome pigments and gilt, the panels with a profusion of flowering peonies and foliage on gilt grounds, all above a lower tier of three rectangular panels decorated ensuite, all supported by four corner feet. 90cm (35 1/2in) high x 43.5cm (17 1/4in) deep x 94cm (37in) wide (2).
