Senryu and Osho
Edo period (1615-1868), late 18th/early 19th centuryTwo unmounted folding-fan paintings, painted in Kano style in ink on mica-covered paper, one depicting a cormorant on a rock in the sea and the other an oxherd seated on the back of an ox playing a flute; the cormorant signed Hokkyo Senryu hitsu, the oxherd signed Osho kore o egaku.
