A rare transparent pale-green-overlay mottled semi-opaque yellow glass snuff bottle
1740-1800Of flattened rounded shape, the overlay carved with Daoist symbolism in a continuous scene around the bottle, with a pavilion rising from clouds above breaking waves to one side and a bat above a moon or setting sun amongst clouds above waves to the other, the narrow sides with flying cranes and lingzhi. 2 1/2in (6cm) high, stopper
