These two antique porcelain plates are hand painted with pink, blue and green floral motifs within a famille rose patterned border around the rims, featuring small landscape vignettes. They date from around 1750 in the Chinese Qianlong period, which was considered the height of porcelain production in China, and were probably produced for export to the West. Emperor Qianlong had an extravagant taste, so porcelain wares made during this time were particularly densely decorated.
