Of bulbous form, the rounded sides rising from a flat base to a wide shoulder with short straight mouth rim, decorated in shades of underglaze blue with four large quatrefoil cartouches containing alternately a blossoming prunus among rockwork and birds and the ‘Hundred Antiques’ motif with auspicious objects including an urn with shou character, separated by lappets from bands to the shoulder and foot with lotus scroll against a ’cracked ice’ ground, the glazed base with a double circle in underglaze blue.
