Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, polychrome landscape squared amphora vase. Potted in a amphora shaped vase, large, thick and tall, globular body, slighty oval lower body, rounded shoulder concealing gracefully to a prominent cylindrical neck, two archaic pattern flanked from the neck to shoulder, raised with short splayed foot base rim and slight concave. The exterior decorated with hand-painting in clean white under glazed base color which contrast against the polychrome design. Meaning "decorated in many colors" as opposed to "decorated in one color" (mono-chrome). A plain white piece is thus both "un-decorated", in Chinese porcelain possibly a "blanc-de-Chine" and a "white monochrome". The clay is very fine, with a brilliant glaze finish that was applied by a meticulous, the shape is uniformly proportioned.
