Pair of Chinese Qing Dynasty Period, QianLong monochrome vase. The porcelain potted in baluster shape vase, large, thick and tall, globular ovoid mid body, tapered gracefully toward straight tall cylindrical neck, with flaring mouth rim, raised on a short splayed round foot base with slight concave. All reserved hand painted ornamentations are rendered in masterfully covered in an even coat of a lemon yellow glaze which terminates at the base to reveal the pure white under glaze. The yellow glaze creates a mottled effect around the rim which is likened unto the blushing of human skin. The porcelain displays a subtle sheen as the light ricochets across the finely glazed exterior. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, QianLong Reign Period of Great Qing Dynasty.
