Description A JAVANESE FRAGMENTARY BRONZE FIGURE OF A GODDESS PROBABLY CIRCA 10TH CENTURY
The four-armed figure standing on a plinth base, two arms raised, the other two holding an orb in front of her waist, wearing a dhoti and jewels. The whole covered in a deep verdigris encrustation. Mounted on a grey metal stand.
The figure 33cm high, 13.5cm wide. With stand 38cm high
Condition Report Condition:
Small holes and larger losses to the bronze, particularly to the reverse of the figure. Repaired between the feet and legs. Old losses to the plinth base. Loss to a finger on the left hand. Significant verdigris encrustation to the figure, obscuring various details.
