Description Native American, early 1900s. Finley carved and polychrome Tlingit rattle symbolizing transmission of power from one figure to the next; kingfisher to frog, frog to human, and raven to all humankind. Apparently unmarked. Provenance:Acquired from Quintana's in 1983 for $1500 and accompanied by an appraisal from the same gallery. Approx. h. 4.75", w.3", d. 12.5".
