Bronze India, 19th century Dimensions: Height 59 cm Weight: 20.300 grams Four-armed Ganesha, the remover of obstacles, standing in dancing motion on a square plinth with lotus flower base. The square plinth is also carved with ornamental designs. Ganesha's left foot is lifted from the ground, his four arms are holding his attributes, a noose, his broken tusk and a battle axe. The left arm is pointing to his right hip, the long trunk swings to his left, dancing. He is wearing a short striped dhoti, anklets, the thread wrapped around the belly, jewellery and a conical headdress. This depiction of him is very joyful and lively. He is probably the most worshipped God in Hindu religion.
