Bronze India, 12th to 13th century Dimensions: Height 16,5 cm Weight: 444 grams Standing Parvati, wife of Shiva, Mother Goddess, on a lotus step attached to square plinth. She is standing in tribhanga pose with left knee slightly bent and hip tilted to the right. She is holding a lotus flower in her left raised hand, her right hand is casually hanging down beside her hip. She is wearing a long striped dhoti pants and some jewellery, a high conical headdress and large ear pendants. Her face is round with small features and a friendly expression.
