Bronze India, 17th century Dimensions: Height 5,5 cm Weight: 69 grams A bronze statue from India of Parvati seated on a round cushion attached to a square base. Her left leg pendent, leaning to the left and supporting herself on her left hand on a small lotus flower stemming from the base. Her right raised arm is showing a mudra but already heavily rubbed off. She is wearing simple garments and plain jewellery, her small belly portrudes. Her face is round with small features, smiling lips, one earlobe is missing. Her high headdress shows little detail due to rub-off.
