Bronze fire-gilt Tibet, 18th century Dimensions: Height 13 cm by 8 cm Weight: 366,2 grams Green Tara seated on a double-reverse lotus base with beaded rim with one foot resting on a portrudent lotus flower in the front. The Bodhisattva's lower body is dressed in robes, her bare chest is decorated with numerous jewellery with missing stone inlays. In her right hand resting on the knee she is holding a closed lotus bud called utpala, her other hand is lifted with thumb touching the ring finger. The head is slightly tilted to the left, the expression is friendly and welcoming. She wears an opulent headdress with missing stone inlay. To her left side is a lotus flower in full bloom. The bottom is sealed with a double vajra relief.
