Bronze Tibet, 19th century Dimensions: Height 18 cm Weight: 771 grams Standing Padmapani or "Lotus-Bearer" on a small lotus flower with beaded rim. Standing in tribhanga pose with the upper body tilted to the right from the waist, the left hand is holding the stem of the flower while the other is lowered beside the hip with palm facing forward, varada mudra, gesture of dispensing of boons. The head whereas is tilted to the left, his left knee bent slightly, altogether creating an elegant S-curve. Dressed in a short dhoti fastened around the waist and a decorative waistband drooping from the hip. Beaded jewellery and a fine tiara adorn the Bodhisattva.
