Bronze with silver and copper inlays Tibet, 12th century Dimensions: Height 6,5 cm Weight: 74 grams A Bodhisattva seated in royal ease pose on a double reverse lotus base with beaded rim. The Bodhisattva is supporting himself with the left hand on the ground behind the leg, the right hand is raised with thumb touching the bent middle finger and ring finger holding a small object. Dressed simply but adorned with beaded chains and threads, a high headdress with bows on the sides sits on the head, a lotus bud finial on top. Elongated earlobes are hanging down to the shoulders. The face is small with large eyes, high eyebrows, a long nose and grinning lips. The silver inlay of the eyes create a piercing gaze.
