Clay mold or TsaTsa Nepal, 18th century Dimensions: Height 20 cm by 15 cm Weight: 1153 grams A depiction of the rare Namasanghiti form of Manjushri, seated cross-legged on a double reverse lotus base with beaded rim, a pointy aureole at the back. One pair of hands is holding a cup in the lap, another is pouring the nectar into the cup. A third pair of hands is lifted in front of the hear, one with back of hand and one with palm facing out. The other two pair of arms are fanning out to the side, holding a bow and arrow and a sword and mace. The last pair of hands is joined together above the hand showing uttarabodhi mudra, gesture of enlightenment. The Buddha is crowned with a tiara, the hair-bun is topped by a diamond. The backside is flat.
