By Kikutei Tomoyuki, signed Kikutei Tomoyuki Japan, Tokyo, Meiji period (1868-1912)
Depicting a samurai warrior, possibly Momotaro, slaying two oni with his katana, with one foot placed on the back of a cowering oni underneath him and pulling the ear of another oni armed with a club beside him. The details finely incised inked and red coloring used for the blood. Signed within a wavy reserve to the back KIKUTEI TOMOYUKI – a member of the Tomochika school.
