About the artist: Born on March 21, 1941, in the village of Kotelva (now the village of Kotelevsky district, Poltava region). Graduated: Lviv Institute of Applied and Decorative Arts (1971). Teachers in the specialty: Y. Zapaska, M. Kurilich, V. Ovsiychuk. Sculptor and painter. He worked in the field of wood and metal processing, easel painting, monumental art; marked by a clear composition, restraint of colors. Interprets the themes of folklore associated with great customs, rituals, folk songs, Cossack history, providing them with a modern, artfully educated solution. The mood of nature, a combination of sunlight and moonlight, sonorous gradation of tone serve the images of nature as an art of worldview. People's Artist of Ukraine (2016). He earned a republican prize to them. I. Ogienko (2001). Member of the National Union of Artists of Ukraine (1977). He worked in the industrial Victory artel in the village of Kotelva (1960); in the woodworking workshop of the Kotely industrial plant in the village of Kotelva (1963-1965); at the Poltava art - production plant (since 1971); at the same time - Associate Professor, Department of Fine Arts, Poltava Technical University (since 2001). Participated in exhibitions: republican, all-Union and foreign (since 1970). Personal exhibitions - in Poltava (1991, 1993, 1995-1999, 2001), Kiev, Lviv (1991, 2002), Zhytomyr, Ivano-Frankivsk (1999), Kharkov, urban settlement Oposhnia of the Zenkovsky district, Poltava region (2003).
