Description Chinese Ming Dynasty Period, JiaJing wucai jar. Potted with a large cylinder vessel, jar shape, having thick and tall potted body, sturdily potted in a slight ovoid belly, heavy on shoulder gently tapered on short neck, toward opening mouth prominent, with slight flaring opening lip, and raised on flat wide round foot base. The exterior decorated by applying of wucai design color, a variety of five-colored pigments creates bold opaque hand-painting of some elders in a garden below dense tree, scrolling ruyi clouds. The Lines of the drawings are clear, the light and dark shades are subtle. The colors are harmonious, elegant and exquisite, the composition is sophisticated, simply a feast for the eye. Mark on under base, a six under glazed blue script characters reign mark, JiaJing Reign Period of Great Ming Dynasty.
