Description A pair of Chinese famille rose plates dating from the 19th century. The exteriors feature 3 floral tracery motifs, while the interior is turquoise ground with a red dragon roundel with bats, Shou medallions, and Buddhist crosses. Each has a 4-character " Ji Xiang Ru Yi" mark. Dimensions are: 1 1/4 inches tall X 9 1/2 inches wide, 3.2 cm X 24.1 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition Report A miniscule chip to the rim of one plate. A hairline and glaze chipping to the other plate.
Provenance From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
