Description A pair of Chinese famille rose porcelain plaques dating from the Republic period. Each plaque depicts a figure in a landscape with boats, and each is framed. Dimensions are: 9 5/8 inches tall X 14 3/4 inches wide, 24.4 cm X 37.5 cm, while the frame measures 13 inches tall X 18 1/8 inches wide, 33 cm X 46 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Provenance From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
