Description A Chinese gilt bronze seated Buddha dating from the Ming dynasty with a bronze stand. The Buddha is sitting on a lotus pedestal in dhyanasana position with his right hand in the bhumisparsha mudra and his left in the dhyana mudra. There are incised floral borders on the Buddha's robe and blue paint on his hair. Dimensions are: 12 1/2 inches tall X 8 inches wide, 31.8 cm X 20.3 cm. Weight: 5750 grams.
