Description Two Stoneware Teabowls
SONG DYNASTY (960-1279)
each of conical form and supported by a narrow upright foot, the first having walls slightly recessed beneath the mouth rim, and covered in a thick deep glaze draping over the sides to reveal an ashen body, the second having resist decoration of moonlit plum branches to the interior beneath a raised band at the mouth.
Diameter of larger 4 3/8 in., 11.3 cm.
