Description Two Embroidered and Woven Silk 'Dragon' Panels
LATE QING DYNASTY
comprising a brocade woven example showing three sinuous dragons after a flaming pearl amidst red flaming wisps and tricolor cloud scrolls against a blue ground, all above alishuistripe at the border beneath waves crashing against a terrestrial diagram strewn with auspicious symbols; the second a framed table hangin, worked against a red satin ground with a large roundel enclosing dragon within corners embroidered with scrolling clouds supporting beribboned auspicious symbols, beneath a top flap worked with three smaller 'dragon' roundels.
