Description Pair of natural pearl and diamond earrings
late 19th century composite
each of pendent design, set with cushion-shaped and rose-cut diamonds, with a natural pearl swing centre and graduated fringe,?post fittings
Condition Report Accompanied by GCS report no. 81294-16, dated 1st February 2021, stating that the pearls measuring approximately 3.4 - 7.7mm are natural, saltwater. Unsigned. Estimated total diamond weight approximately 1.50-2.00 carats. Larger pearls cream to silverish body colour, one with low-medium lustre, the other with medium-high lustre, some slight irregularities, nacre generally in good condition. Fringe of pearls with some banding/growth features. Some glue/cement residues around caps. Length approximately 31mm, gross weight approximately 8.4 grams. Posts likely later additions, earrings possibly adapted from 19th jewel. Overall condition good.
