Two ivory snuffboxes, Japan, late 19th - early 20th century-
One in black and red tinted ivory of rectangular shape with cut sides decorated with a woman and child in a garden of flowers, bamboos and pines on one side; on the reverse side, a bird among pierced rocks from which bamboos and chrysanthemums grow. The small sides, foot and neck are decorated with geometric and stylized motifs. Qianlong mark with two characters at the base. Stopper in suite. Japan, 1854-1920. Height : 8,3 cm ; weight : 49 g-
The other one in black and red tinted ivory of rectangular form decorated with a woman holding a basket of flowers and a child in a garden of flowers, bamboos and stylized clouds on one side ; on the reverse side, a stylized crane in flight among the bamboos, peonies and clouds The small rounded sides, foot and neck are decorated with geometric and stylized motifs. Qianlong mark with two characters at the base. Stopper in suite. Japan, 1854-1920. Height : 7,8 cm ; weight : 58 g
