A Victorian gold triple seal, the sides decorated with strapwork and stylised fleurs-de-lys, the graduated seals fitting one over the other, the upper-most with oval bloodstone matrix with intaglio full coat of arms of the Bristol family, the swivel-action middle seal set with carnelian matrix with intaglio Bristol crest within buckle and strap motto cartouche on one side and Bristol crest above reversed and interlaced monogram "RB" to reverse, the inner-most and smallest seal with banded agate matrix with intaglio Bristol crest, engraved above the hinge with a scrollwork band, the mount formed of stylised fleurs-de-lys, 4 cm. high. In very good condition. This appears to have originally been a desk seal later converted to a fob seal by removing the handle and inserting a suspension loop. The original handle was probably citrine, amethyst or hardstone.
